Looking for a relaxing scenic park with acres of greenery? Then Ropner Park is the one for you!

This fantastic area is great for getting in your steps, hitting that 5k or cycling round on a sunny day. Don’t forget to head to the lake for your daily dose of wildlife spotting!

Coming here with your pals is no problem when you’re staying in our Stockton-On-Tees student accommodation…they basically neighbour each other!

Uncover these beautiful creatures at Butterfly World, a tropical rainforest in Stockton On Tees. 

There are 80-120 species available for you to find, so why not come here with your flatmates and see who can spot the most?

Unleash your inner competitive side and take a trip to TeamSport Go Karting! 

Considering this is a blog about where to go outdoors in Stockton On Tees and we’ve included the UK’s #1 best indoor track…we haven’t done very well have we?!

For only £20pp during the week, you can challenge your friends to a race around the course in your own little kart.

We just know this would be an activity for everyone to get involved in – so just get booking!

If you’re looking for a long walk with scenic views, why not head locally and follow the River Tees?

This path is great for a simple stroll with your pals to get outside and away from your desk. 

On route, you can even stop at some of Stockton On Tees popular eateries, such as the Hope and Union bar or Pier 22 Café.

5. Wynyard Woodland Park

Just North West from Stockton On Tees town centre, Wynyard Woodland Park is an area perfect for relaxing and unwinding.

This award-winning park has many historical features for you to explore. Facilities include a visitor centre, planetarium, observatory, picnic spots and the former station house has been converted into a café.

Despite being free, you will have to travel here so expect a small fee to accommodate this!

It’s a really nice walk. There’s a lot of signage that gives information about the area’s history, like it being an old train track and stuff. You can spend ages walking around there. There’s also the planetarium, cafe and a gift shop. I’d definitely recommend visiting.’

6. Infinity Bridge

If you’re looking to go outdoors in Stockton On Tees, The Infinity Bridge is the place for you to visit. 

It’s a public pedestrian and cycle footbridge across the River Tees, with views that are worth stopping for, for a quick insta pic!

Go here during the day in the summer, or take a long stroll while the sun sets and watch the roads slowly get quieter and quieter!
