Some of our student accommodation in London have on-site gyms for you to access whilst living with us, but for those that don’t, there are plenty conveniently located nearby. 

If you are new to London, you’re probably looking for the best one for you and that’s where we come in.

1. Fitness First

Fitness First has multiple locations across London, some with different facilities to the others. 

There are multiple different workouts available to you, like Rox which is exclusive to Fitness First.

It is a session combined of running and boxing for a high intensity workout – so get your gloves on!

You can take a swim in one of their swimming pools for a bit of low impact cardio or alternatively use their cardio machines for a workout designed by you. 

Or build those muscles with a bit of strength training in their weights area.

If you want some guidance then why not try their classes where you can support each other? They are for anyone who has a membership with them.

This gym also has a student price to make things more affordable for you, this is dependent on which gym you chose, but It ranges from £42 to £89 a month.

2. StrongHer Space

StrongHer Space is the first women only gym in London.

If you feel nervous about the gym then this fitness centre is the one for you, as they’re here to support you and grow your confidence in whichever way you choose.

With strength training space, plus HIIT and flexibility classes available 7 days a week both in the studio and online.

Suitable classes for everyone, ranging from beginner to pro.

They also have a protein shake bar, which is perfect to refuel after a good hard workout. 

Your first shake is free, after that if you pre-order on the app you can save 50p.

StrongHer has multiple packages/options to choose from to sign up depending on what you are interested in, ranging from £89 to £480.

3. Jubilee Hall Gym

Jubilee Hall Gym is run by the Jubilee Hall Trust. 

When joining this gym, you will be supporting their community initiatives and helping those who may not be able to join otherwise.

With strength and cardio equipment to suit all needs, classes suitable for however you wish to exercise, from yoga to HIIT and a cycle studio, you really get your money’s worth.

What’s even better is they offer student membership, which is a 28% discount off a standard membership rate. 

It currently stands at £45/£35, this gets you access to gym facilities and classes and access to virtual classes via the app.

Also note the student membership can be frozen for free over the holiday period in case you are not there – how great is that!

Blok is an award winning fitness studio suitable for all levels. 

They offer 20 different classes designed to create an exciting and sustainable way to work out.

With a range of classes for you to choose from, there will definitely be a class you will fall in love with.

If you have a love for boxing then Kobox is the place for you!

At Kobox, you get 50 mins of high intensity boxing classes for all fitness levels in a state of the art underground fitness space.

The first half of the class will have you taken through their signature 6 punch combinations system which will be projected on the walls for you to follow.

The second half will have you working up a sweat with functional training exercises focusing on a different body part each day.
