9 Music Festivals You Can Still Go To in 2022
It’s a brand-new year, which means we can wave goodbye to 2021 and hope that 2022 will bring us some better vibes!
A new year means summer is fast approaching, and with summer comes a whole bunch of super cool events. You can finally say hello to live music festivals 2022!
We’ve done our research and found 8 music festivals all around the UK to enjoy during your summer holidays!
1. Reading & Leeds
Coming in at number one is of course the one…the only…Reading & Leeds festival on the 26th-28th August!
If you haven’t trudged around in thick, sloppy mud in your best wellies at Reading & Leeds, it’s safe to say you’re defo missing out!
Day tickets are on sale right now, so it looks like it’s full steam ahead as far as we know.
Expect 2 main stages, 6 headliners, and no clashes, which is always a bonus because clashes are well annoying – right?
So far, the line-up consists of big names like Arctic Monkeys, Kalsey, Måneskin, Tommy Farrow, and Danny Brown. Pop music, Live Performances, Rock, Hip Hop… Festival goers can expect a bit of everything!
You can opt for a weekend instalment plan of 6 (£70.95 each), or grab yourself a day ticket for £80ish each.
2. Download
Not a brand new festival but one of the important ones. We have to say, the Download festival line-up for this year is looking pretty spicy, and all being well it will be going ahead!
Taking place on 10th-12th June 2022 at Donnington Park, Download is the perfect festival for those who love heavier music like rock.
There’s some huge names on the 2022 poster to get super excited about including Iron Maiden, KISS, AirBourne, and A Day To Remember.
The best news though? It’s only a short 30-minute drive from our fabulous student accommodation in Leicester!
So if you’re staying at our student accommodation in Leicester– you’re sorted!
You can be back in your cosy accommodation after a busy weekend in no time, all the more reason to head to Download festival this year.
Choose between 3 or 5 nights camping or opt for no camping since you’re super close to home!
3. BST Hyde Park
The British Summer Time festival in Hyde Park is always a fabulous choice, with the sun hopefully beaming and some cool live music.
BST Hyde Park will be your opportunity to see some of the big ones like The Rolling Stones or Adele over two weekends, with different types of tickets depending on what artist you want to see playing.
So far, the line-up consists of big names like Elton John, The Rolling Stones, Eagles, Adele, Duran Duran, and Pearl Jam in an open air concert series from the 24th June to the 10th July 2022.
Tickets range from £80 to £200 depending on the concert you want to attend.
For those staying in our wonderful student accommodation in London, you’re not too far from the action at all – a total bonus!
4. TRNSMT
All being well, TRNSMT music festival should still be going ahead in 2022 on the 8th-10 of July!
This year on the main stage, you’ve got the Courteeners, Ian Brown, Sam Fender, Blossoms, Liam Gallagher, Rita Ora, Lewis Capaldi, and many more new music to discover!
Another cool aspect of TRNSMT festival is the food, with a whole bunch of yummy street food on offer during the weekend to enjoy.
Choose between 1-day tickets, 2-day tickets, or weekend tickets with a payment plan too if you don’t fancy paying it all at once.
TRSNMT is just a 15-minute drive or less away from our comfy accommodation in Glasgow.
So, whichever ticket option you choose, be comforted to know that you will be in one of the best festivals in 2022!
5. Creamfields
Taking place over the August bank holiday (25th-28th) is the famous Creamfields, known for its buzzy vibes and edgy line-ups.
So far so good with this music festival for 2022, we hope the Creamfields line-up is far too good to miss, so be ready for the jam packed day / days.
Vibe with big names like David Guetta, Alesso, Darren Styles and so many more!
Located between Liverpool and Manchester in the beautiful Cheshire countryside, you can grab a shuttle bus from Manchester, Runcorn/Widnes, Warrington, and Liverpool.
6. Latitude
Latitude is another family friendly festival taking place in Henham Park, Suffolk!
This festival is always filled with chilled vibes, with a line-up including Bastille, First Aid Kit and Lewis Capaldi so far.
You can grab standard weekend tickets for all the family or standard weekend instalment plans depending on how you want to pay!
7. The Mighty Hoopla
The Mighty Hoopla UK music festival in 2022 really aims to be inclusive with a focus on LGTBQ+ artists.
Taking place the 3rd and 4th June, their line-up is looking awesome, with artists like Sugarbabes, Agnes, Anastacia, and Cascada.
General admission is around £49.50, taking place in Brockwell Park, in South London, ideal for those staying in our London accommodation!
This festival is all about good energy and a good time, and we’re totally here for it.
8. Out and Wild
Out and Wild is a brand new festival focused around wellness, sport, music and outdoor experiences and activities.
From the 10th June to the 13th, this not-just music event located in Lawrenny, Pembrokeshire (Wales) offers music and comedy and other wellbeing activities for all their attendances focused on LGTQQIA community and allies.
The line up is built by some artists like Kaysha Louvain and Tara Simms.
You can find tickets from £40 plus accommodation.
9. Glastonbury
And finally, one of our world’s most famous music festivals that came back this year on the 22nd – 26th June 2022.
Glastonbury Festival’s line up is full of big names as every year, including Paul McCartney and Billie Eilish!
Book your tickets ASAP and they normally sell out very quickly.
Of course, if you fancy some international festivals you can always check various venues: buy a flight to Spain and watch Two Door Cinema Club in Mad Cool Festival 2022, attend the Riot Fest in Chicago or listen to Bombay Bicycle Club in southside Festival 2022 in Germany, but for this we will have to create a whole new list.
