Finding the Right Place to Live

Aberdeen
Aberdeen pairs granite architecture with a lively coastal setting. It’s home to the University of Aberdeen, one of the oldest universities in the UK, and Robert Gordon University, known for its vocational, industry-focused courses. Beyond lectures, the city has some of the best seafood in the country, plenty of independent cafes and boutiques, and Union Square’s shops and cinema right in the centre.
Dundee
Dundee brings together the University of Dundee, rated highly for research and student experience, and Abertay University, a pioneer in computer games education. The city has earned recognition as a UNESCO City of Design, with the V&A Dundee sitting on its regenerated waterfront next to the RRS Discovery, and the whole centre is compact and walkable.
Glasgow
Glasgow is home to the University of Glasgow, one of the oldest English-speaking universities in the world, alongside the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow Caledonian University, the Glasgow School of Art and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. From the West End’s cafes and cobbled lanes to the Style Mile’s shopping, there’s always something happening close to campus.
Edinburgh
Edinburgh pairs historic charm with a forward-thinking energy, home to the University of Edinburgh, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh Napier University and Queen Margaret University. Beyond lectures, you’re never far from the Old Town’s closes, the Royal Mile, Arthur’s Seat or the festivals that take over the city each summer.
