Privacy Notice – Smart Meters

Homes for Students is currently carrying out a Proof of Concept with Glide: www.glide.com. This involves the installation of Smart Meters outside certain student rooms (chosen at random) in order to monitor energy consumption in those rooms. No personal data will be provided to Glide and any information processed by them will be on the basis of room number only.

Information processed by Homes for Students will include personal data as the usage for a particular room is capable of being linked back to the name of the individual who is currently occupying that room. As this is a Proof of Concept at the moment, it has not been fully decided how this data will be used at Homes for Students, but we will keep you updated via our Privacy Notice if anything changes.
