The 10 Best TikTok Festival Hacks For 2024
Festival season is right around the corner and it’s hard to contain our excitement, 2024 is going to be one year to remember!
No matter whether you’re heading to the iconic Glastonbury Festival, the legendary Reading & Leeds Festival, the electronic dance music festival, Creamfields, or any other top UK festival, there are plenty of hacks out there to make your experience that much easier.
We’ve compiled the 10 best TikTok festival hacks you need to know for 2024 so that you can be a pro in no time, and will be ready for your best summer yet.
1. Set Your Friends Phone Numbers As Your Lock Screen
Sometimes no matter how careful you try to be at festivals, your phone can go missing.
Whether it’s dropping it in a crowd by accident, forgetting it in a portaloo or leaving it on the side of a food vendor, these things can and do happen.
We’re just talking about the worst case scenario here, but one TikTok festival hack which can really help you out is to set your friends phone numbers as your lock screen.
This way, if your phone does go missing and someone finds it, they can ring your friend’s number and get it back to you!
2. Invest In A Folding Stool
If you’re heading down to a festival this summer, a festival hack from TikTok you need to get on board with is investing in a folding stool.
Bringing along a folding stool to a festival means you can sit down comfortably wherever and whenever you like.
These folding chairs are small enough to pop in a backpack, and are ideal if your legs start to hurt after standing in crowds all day!
Fancy purchasing your own? You can get lightweight folding stools from Amazon.
3. Pack Vitamin C Tablets
If you’re searching for music festival hacks, bringing along vitamin c tablets with you really is a game-changer.
Vitamin C tablets like Berocca are great hangover remedies, as they help to boost your energy levels and immune system, as well as reduce tiredness, fatigue and nausea.
Like TikTok user @festivalstyled states, these are something you won’t want to go without come festival season!
How does it work? You can buy Berocca from the likes of Boots, and then dilute one tablet into some water to help you stay on top form!
4. Bring Along A Watering Can
If there’s one thing that’s universally agreed by festival goers, it’s that the campsite showers are not worth queueing up for, unless you get there at the crack of dawn.
At some festivals you even have to pay to use the showers, and for those on a budget, this just isn’t an option.
If you’re still wanting to feel nice and clean at a festival and baby wipes just aren’t cutting it, a hack you’ll want to utilise is bringing along a watering can.
TikTok user @cooleopooleo suggests bringing along a watering can to fill up with water as a make-shift shower – if it works, it works!
5. Pack Some Reusable Ice Cubes
We all know the struggle of getting to a festival and pouring yourself a ‘refreshing’ drink only for your drinks to be warm, it’s not ideal.
Well, thankfully there’s festival hacks for everything these days, and this TikTok user is here to the rescue, offering her advice on packing some reusable ice cubes.
Why? You can freeze them before you go and then put them into an insulated cup so that when you get to the festival, you’ll have some ice for your drinks.
It may not last for the full course of the festival, but it’s still worth doing, you can treat yourself to a nice cold tipple once you’ve set your tent up!
6. Create A Photo Album With Map & Set Times
A useful TikTok festival hack is to create an album on your phone so when you screenshot the festival map and the artist set times it’s all within one place.
This way you’ll be able to find your screenshots easily, rather than searching through tons of photos and videos in your camera roll – been there, done that.
Some festivals also have apps you can download to make a schedule for the acts, or you can write the timetable in the notes folder of your phone!
7. Bring A Portable Charger For Each Day
If you’re going to be taking photos and videos of your favourite acts or using your phone to text your mates whilst at a festival, chances are, your phone battery is going to go down pretty fast.
It’s always worth bringing along power banks with you to save forking out tons using the charging facilities on-site.
However, this TikTok festival goer @molliexnorris suggests taking it a step further and bringing at least 3 portable chargers, one for each day.
This way, you don’t have to worry about your phone dying on the second day of the festival!
8. Wear Your Shoes In Beforehand
Is there anything worse than popping on the only pair of shoes you packed with you to a festival and being in agony?
It’s the worst, and chances are, you’ll be covered in blisters by day 2 even if you tell yourself how ‘comfy’ they are.
You’re going to be wearing your shoes all day everyday across the festival period, which for some events can be anywhere between 3 to 5 days.
In preparation for getting festival ready, this TikTok user suggests wearing your shoes in beforehand, especially if you’re wearing Dr Martens or any other type of notoriously blister prone shoes!
Don’t forget to pack some plasters too just in case, it’s better to be prepared.
9. Earplugs For The Win
It cannot be understated just how important it is to pack some ear plugs with you when going to a camping festival, especially if you’re a light sleeper.
Festival campsites are loud, all of the time, so when your head hits the pillow, having ear plugs will be a real lifesaver at blocking out those loud noises.
You can get cheap earplugs for a couple of quid, or spend a little extra for some high quality ones you can use again.
Obviously, if it’s a day festival, you don’t really need to bring along earplugs with you, unless of course you’re wanting to protect your eyes from the loud sound systems!
10. Don’t Forget A Wireless Speaker
Our last TikTok hack is an easy one to forget, but it always helps to have a wireless speaker with you when attending a festival.
The reason for this is that when sitting around the campsite with your mates, whether for pres before heading to the acts or when you get back late at night, you can put on your own tunes and get the feel-good vibes going!
Ideally, you want to bring along a wireless speaker that isn’t too big or heavy as it needs to fit in your bag.
Remember, you plan to use your wireless speaker frequently, you’ll need to bring an extra portable charger for it!
