How to Order Your UNPACKED Starter Pack

Well, if you’ve been debating whether to get your essentials sorted before making your move, the time has come. Today, we’ll take you through a step-by-step guide on how to order your starter pack, ensuring it arrives at the right time for you.

How to Order Your UNPACKED Starter Pack

Step 1: Choose your pack

Decide between a kitchen pack and a bedding pack, or both. Within each, there are tiers to choose from:

  • Kitchen: Student Kitchen Pack or Ultimate Kitchen Pack
  • Bedding: Student Bedding Pack, Luxury Bedding Pack, or Ultimate Bedding Pack

Step 2: Select your bed size

For any bedding pack, you’ll need to choose the size that matches your Uni bed: single, small double, double, or king. If you’re not sure what size your room has, check with your Uni accommodation team before ordering.

Step 3: Pick your delivery date

You can order at any point up to three months ahead of moving in, and you’ll choose your delivery date at checkout. UNPACKED aims to have your pack delivered before you arrive, and can manage it in as little as two working days if you’re ordering closer to the date.

A note on timing: the earlier you order, the more flexibility you have. If you’re ordering close to your move-in date, or during a busy period like the start of term, building in a few extra days’ buffer is worth it.

If you’re moving to Northern Ireland, including Belfast, add an extra day for delivery. Deliveries aren’t currently available to the Republic of Ireland.

Step 4: Choose your delivery address

Most students have their pack delivered straight to their accommodation, using the building’s front desk or post room address so it’s received safely while you’re not there yet. If you’d rather it arrive at home before you travel, that’s an option too. If you’re not certain of the right address to use, UNPACKED’s customer service team can help.

Step 5: Check the shipping cost

Shipping is free on UK orders over £120.00. Below that threshold, it’s £9.99. Ordering a kitchen and bedding pack together, or opting for one of the higher tiers, will usually clear the free shipping threshold on its own.

Step 6: Complete checkout

Once your pack, size, delivery date, and address are confirmed, complete payment to place your order.

Step 7: Track your delivery

After ordering, you’ll receive tracking details by email, usually via DPD, so you can follow your parcel’s progress. A reminder is also sent the day before delivery, so you’ll know it’s coming.

Step 8: Arrival

Your pack arrives in one box, labelled with your name and room number, waiting for you when you get there. No unpacking bags of bedding from the car, no separate trips for kitchenware.

If something goes wrong

  • Changed your mind before it’s shipped? You can cancel for a full refund, no questions asked.
  • Already shipped but need to send it back? UNPACKED will provide a free return label.
  • Something missing or damaged? Email [email protected] and they’ll arrange a refund or replacement.
  • Order hasn’t turned up? The same email address can trace your parcel for you.
