Sheffield has a well-known reputation for student nightlife; The Leadmill nightclub is located minutes from the residence and hosts live music and weekly indie club nights. As well as this, The O2 Academy is a popular music venue and is located less than 10 minutes from the residence.
The Plug, Embrace and Corporation are a few more of Sheffield’s nightclubs notorious for cheap drinks and great music, all of which can be enjoyed when you’re staying in our student accommodation.
The popular student areas of Division Street and West Street are each a 10 minute walk away, where you’ll find a selection of diverse bars and restaurants to choose from. Some student favourite include; The Basement, Revolución de Cuba, Mojo Bar, and Bungalows and Bears.
If you’re looking to eat out or aren’t in the mood to cook; Sheffield city centre has a variety of restaurants, ranging in cuisines to suit all tastes and budgets. If you feel spoiled for choice, you should try Wagamama, Wig and Pen, Ask Italian, and Edo Sushi.

Sheffield has a lot of natural beauty, so there will always be somewhere to unwind on one of those elusive sunny days. The Moor Market is Sheffield’s brand new market, and there are literally almost 200 stalls to get you into a foodie frenzy. It’s just a 5 minute walk from Regency House and they have loads going on throughout the year, so make sure to check it out.
If you enjoy shopping, Meadowhall is a shopping centre located out of the city centre, 20 minutes from the residence with over 270 of your favourite retailers under one roof, from the designer names to high street and even independent brands.
For a range of different entertainment, Sheffield City Hall hosts some famous names, displaying entertainment from comedy clubs, to contemporary dance. The Kelham Island Museum is a 25 minute walk away and showcases Sheffield’s industrial story from the period of early industrialisation through to modern times.
