Erasmus Exchange Programme
The Erasmus Programme is an EU funded programme that organises student exchanges, designed to give students valuable international experience. It will usually take place in your second or third year of your university course and can last up to a whopping 12 months!
To be eligible for the programme, your higher education institution must be part of the programme, and your period of studying abroad must be relevant to your studies and your personal development needs.
Coming to the UK as an Erasmus student has numerous advantages including enhanced employment prospects and important language and interpersonal skills, it’ll really help develop your self-confidence too. It’s a fabulous opportunity you really won’t want to miss out on!
In terms of money, The Erasmus Grant can help cover any additional costs of your exchange. Students can get around €250-€300/month or more for studying abroad, and €350-€400/month or more if you’re doing traineeship abroad, depending on the country you want to go to of course.
