Going through clearing, need student accommodation? Not to worry, we have you sorted!

With results day just around the corner, thousands of young people around the country will soon be frantically logging in to UCAS with baited breath to discover if they have received a conditional offer from their chosen university.

Unfortunately, not everyone gets into the university that they are hoping for, because they have not gained the required grades.

Clearing gives students the chance to choose an alternative university, but this comes with the hassle of changing accommodation or booking a property at the last minute.

Have you done your research?
Once you have settled on your choice of university, you need to assess your choice of student accommodation. Be prepared for everything that can happen on results day, and make sure you research your options for student accommodation before discovering your results. Vital points to brush up on include:

Make compromises
Everyone has pictured the perfect student accommodation in their mind before they even start to look for a place to live. While there is nothing wrong with that, it is important to manage your expectations.

You may have to alter your preferences and miss out on that en-suite room you wanted. But most likely the last of the rooms available are the most affordable, meaning you have extra cash to splash out on night outs, university essentials, transport or even a holiday. So while others are scraping the barrel because every last penny has gone towards that fancy en-suite room, you could be saving your extra cash for a trip away!

Keep your cool
Try not to stress out or panic over finding a room. Student accommodation providers are there to help you and will be more than happy to help you with all the information you need to make an informed decision. There will always be rooms available for you in your university city!
