This simple yet tasty laid-back venue serves heaps of delicious Chinese dishes from soups, to noodles, to classic rice dishes. Based on Castle Square in Sheffield, they offer £1.50 delivery when you spend £15 or more. If you fancy a feast for you and your mates and spend over £33, you get free delivery, which is a nice bonus!

With a 4/5 rating on Trip Advisor, you’re pretty much guaranteed a tasty takeaway from the comfort of your own student accommodation. Menu highlights include the salt & pepper chicken wings and the traditional chicken chow mein.

Set menus are also available if you feel like a big banquet with your pals, and they also have a home alone set menu where you can choose your starter, main, sauce and drink.

Located on London Road, Golden Taste have some sterling Trip Advisor reviews, and it’s no wonder! With their authentic dishes and unique menu, your belly is bound to feel satisfied after your takeaway. They have two menus, one side is British Chinese, with all your standard classic Chinese takeaway dishes, the other is Mandarin with English subtitles. They have a fabulous range of hot and cold dishes and has been labelled a “hidden gem” in Sheffield.

For main courses, you’ve got to try the lamb curry, the lamb is extremely tender and falls apart at the slightest touch! Other highlights include the beef in black bean sauce and the sweet & sour chicken balls.

If you’re visiting this place for the first time, we’d recommend you try the salt and pepper squid, it seems to be a popular favourite. Yo Yo always seems to have fantastic offers available, so keep your eyes peeled, we know being a student can be expensive sometimes!

Situated on Meadowhead right next to Sheffield Transport Sports Club, you’re guaranteed consistently good food when ordering your takeaway from here. Some takeaways can be greasy, but China Delight seems to pull it out of the bag and provide good quality, tasty food.

Popular dishes include the noodles and chicken dishes, perfect for a cosy night in with your university pals and Netflix.

Their menu is absolutely bursting with authentic Chinese cuisine, perfect for a treat after a hard day of studying. For appetisers to get your belly rumbling, we’d recommend the chicken curry rolls or the deep-fried king prawn in BBQ curried sauce.
