If you’re living in Exeter for university, we can bet you’ve probably come across Unit 1 on a night out – right? With it’s super central location and buzzing atmosphere, it is a firm favourite of many students throughout the academic year. 

Hosting regular events, such as Cheese Tuesdays, Quids in and Project Fridays, you’ll always be catered for whenever you fancy getting your dancing shoes on. 

Inside is a haven for activity, with spacious rooms set around a circular dance floor. Whether you fancy hip hop, dance and chart music, this modern club has it all so you’ll never have to compromise!

2. Lemon Grove

Run by the Student’s Guild, Lemon Grove has been around for many years and is an iconic part of Exeter nightlife history. Many students flock here to experience a one of a kind night out, with incredibly cheap drinks and a brilliant sound system. 

The main room in Lemon Grove is huge and has hosted impressive acts, such as Pendulum, Pigeon Detectives, Chase and Status, Wretch 32 and many, many more. Expect their future event list to be packed full with upcoming artists, iconic bands and acts you never want to miss.

3. EX4

Student loan not stretching far enough? Well, you might want to think about getting yourself down to EX4 for some of the cheapest drink deals around. 

This popular club and music venue has three levels of fun and you can expect a resident DJ playing every week. 

It can be found on Fore Street, right in the heart of all the action.

4. Fever Fever

Fever Fever is a fantastic nightclub in Exeter, offering two spacious rooms, a boujee roof terrace and VIP booths, ideal for birthdays or nights worth celebrating!

Hosting a range of events every single week, you might just find it difficult to ever leave this brilliant venue.

Whatever music style you prefer, Fever Fever has it all. The main room is renowned for a mixture of DNB, electronic and rap music, and where you’ll find most students settling. In terms of nightclubs, The Cavern gives off a slightly different vibe, especially considering it’s located in a quirky underground venue, but we would recommend it in a heartbeat! 

It’s the perfect escape for any indie or rock lovers, as they’re renowned for hosting a range of live music from bands and performers such as Coldplay and Biffy Clyro. 

This unique music venue has been running for over 25 years and we’re not surprised it’s still going strong.

Looking for a lively venue hosting some of the best local DJ’s? Head to Timepiece and you might just find your favourite central club. It’s a student’s late-night favourite and hosts a range of themed nights devoted to indie, electro, house and cheesy club classics.

Situated in the heart of Exeter, this is one of those nightclubs you’re going to walk past every single day and wish you were inside, instead of rushing about to the library. 

7. Move
